The Aims of the Patient Participation Group

Riverside Surgery has a Patient Participation Group (PPG), which meets approximately once every quarter. The group is made up of patients, doctors and staff and its aims are as follows:

  1. To be an advisory group aimed at improving communication between the practice and its patients.
  2. To improve cooperation and collaboration.
  3. Influence practice policy.
  4. Act as a representative group to influence the local provision of health and social care.
  5. To provide innovative and new ideas.
  6. Provide feedback.
  7. Communicate and inform.
  8. Health education.
